Snapshots || Disneyland Paris: Adventureland and Discoveryland

Of all the places to be in Disneyland, Discoveryland was my favourite, followed closely by Adventureland. They had the most interesting decoration, the best colours and some pretty good rides too. As such, they were also where I took the most photos, so it seems only far to dedicate a whole blog post to my two favourite areas.

Starting with Discoveryland!

This was our first stop on our third day and look at that gorgeous weather! Just look at all that green, blue and gold. Hands down, my favourite spot and I am not even remotely interested in space, but I am interested in colour.

That is it for Discoveryland. Next up, Adventureland!

We headed to Adventureland on the last day of our trip, sadly, no more blue skies, but I was happy to sacrifice that for a little more warmth. My toes sure did appreciate those few extra degrees.

We spent most of our time walking all around, through the caves, over bridges, up the treehouse and simply enjoying all the nature there was in this part of the park compared to everywhere else. I would have liked to climb aboard the pirate ship, but sadly, you cannot have everything.

Enough chitter chatter, let us get to the photos so you can enjoy a bit of Adventureland too!

If you have been to DLP before, what is you favourite part of the park? If not, what do you prefer, Discoveryland or Adventureland? Or neither?

Snapshots || Walt Disney Studios Park, Disneyland Paris

It’s time for more Disney!

We have covered the trip, the festivities, now it is time to enjoy a bit of the Walt Disney Studios Park.

I really enjoyed this side of the park. Toyland and the area around Ratatouille was definitely my favourite spot. The whole park was a little more subtle (as subtle as Disneyland can be) than the Disneyland Park with a load more hidden details to enjoy as you wander around. Plus, I had my own personal guide in Danielle who has quite the repertoire of Disney knowledge so I was sure not to miss a thing. I see a “top ten Disneyland Paris secrets” in her blog-future!

There is not much else to say, since I already covered the attractions we went on in my first Disneyland post. This post is all about the photos! So let us just enjoy them and I will stop writing!

If you have been to Disneyland before, what do you prefer? The Walt Disney Studios Park or the Disneyland Park? If not, um, I am not sure what question to ask you.

Snapshots || Disney Dreams of Christmas

I have not stood outside frozen to the bones to watch fireworks in such a long time. It was one of the parts of Disneyland that I was most looking forward to and I had it on good authority from Danielle that the Disney Dreams firework display is always a really good show.

As we would be there for Disney Dreams at Christmas, we were hoping it would be just as good, if not better, what with all the festivities and decorations going on.

I must say, I was a little underwhelmed by the whole display. I had envisioned lots of festive themes projected onto the castle, with plenty of tunes to bob along too (to keep those feet warm!) followed by the firework display. It ended up being a lot of Frozen and not a lot else, with some fireworks dotted here and there.

Not quite what I expected, but that did not stop me taking plenty of photos!

It was also my first time taking photos in the dark, and of fireworks, with my new camera body and I am quite happy with how the photos turned out, especially after a little editing.

So without further ado, here are a few snapshots from Disney Dreams at Christmas!

Not to toot my own horn, but I think these turned out alright. Have you seen the Disney Dreams display, what did you think of it? Or any other firework displays for that matter?
