Hey there Wednesday!
Let’s get straight into all the good stuff because it’s Wednesday morning and I need to finish this before my tweet goes out in 5 minutes!
Insert your own thoughts of why celebrating the good parts of the week is a jolly good idea.
I’m off to try and finish my book so I can sneak one more on to my August reads!
Time with my favourite people
I lucked out this week, an extra day to spend with Kris on the weekend and a good old natter with Danielle on Hangouts. It’s always nice to have a little company when you’re doing the washing up! That and we’ve got a trip to Disneyland to keep planning together.
I’m a lady of not many friends, so it’s nice to spend some quality time with the ones I do have.
Glorious, glorious sunshine!
It might be 30 degrees or so, but clear blue skies, bright sunshine and enough UV for a side of sunburn every time I leave the house, that’s what I like in my summertimes.
It’s the perfect time to walk in the forest under the shade of the trees, which made the heat of Saturday a little bit easier.
A tofu success
Every time I cook tofu it’s terrible. OK, probably not terrible, but it’s never what I expect it to be or what I want, so for all intents and purposes, it sucks. Until this one time last week, I decided to give the ol’ tofu another go. I sliced it and fried it up with a little pepper and some seasoning mix (inappropriately named chicken seasoning) and it turned out alright. A little dry in places, but at least it had taste. Maybe I’ve got myself a bit of tofu-mojo, or I’ve just unlocked a new vegan-life-level, I don’t know, but tofu, you’re alright and I might cook you next week some time.
I’m thinking tofu in my Thai curry next.
Other food related goodness – because, who goes a week without something wonderful and food related? Not me, that’s who – I made chocolate brownies and reignited my love for these “energy balls” that I haven’t made in so many months!
Oh and mug cakes have officially entered my life. Danielle sent me a great eggless recipe and it was delicious. Even after burning off all my taste buds. Delicious. Highly recommend.
Nothing is more wonderful that my Choppy-dude. As I’ve been sick and the weather has been far too hot for Lil’ Man, I’ve not seen too much of him this week, but the snivels have subsided so we’re back to hanging out together in the evening. We even had a little snuggle on Monday morning which only happens every now and then when I’m up extra early.
Chopster Chop, you da best. I also need more photos of my dude, but when someone doesn’t wake up until 9pm, I’m past the stage of wanting to turn all the lights on and get the camera out. We just live in the moment instead.
So that’s it, a couple of happy snaps from the last week. I need to up my game and note them down during the week because it’s too taxing on my brain to think of them all at once. What’s been great about your last week?
