This week will be forever known as The One with all the Hamster Photos. I’m not kidding, there’s three of them. The only reason there’s not four is because Thursday’s sky looked quite interesting so I took a photo of that instead. This is what comes from forgetting to take photos. If only I had a good view from my windows, then I wouldn’t have to spend ten minutes snapping endless photos of my dude just to get one in focus. I wouldn’t have it any other way though, because now and then, you get a corker of a shot and that makes my cold heart melt a little.
On to this week, which will be shelved under “most unproductive week of all”.
Kris had the day off work today to take our bikes in for their first service. After dropping them off, we walked back into town to pass the time until they were ready. On the way back to picking them up I spotted a new-to-me bird swimming on the canal. He’s a cormorant! I’ve never seen one before, probably because we don’t head down by the canal all that often. I might have to make a point to head down there again and see what else there is to find.
There was big plans to continue on with our A to Z of Belgium today, given that we’ve only made it up to the letter D so far. E was all picked out, we’d decided we were going to cycle there and take the train back, the bags were packed, we were even up early and then I had a flat tyre.
By the time we’d sorted that out it was a little too late to head to Enghien, so we thought we’d just go for a circular cycle ride instead. We used the cycle-node network, chose one of the suggested routes that started off in our town and off we went.
My little man’s evening yawns are not so sexy when caught on camera. This shall be know as the time Chopster tried to impersonate a Tasmanian Devil. It’s uncanny, don’t ya think?
Today was a quiet day at home with not much going on. This week seems to be going a bit meh, so I took myself out for a little walk to meet Kris from work and attempted to snap some photos of the crows. This was the best I got.
Chopster’s “hmm, I can’t decide if I want to come out yet” face. Tis the cutest face ever.
Chopster: What was that?!
Me: I have no idea, I didn’t hear anything.
Chopster: Pfft humans, they hear nothing. Amateurs.
It was almost another Chopster photo, but I thought three was enough. I may have considered photoshopping him into this photo just for the funnies, but decided against it because. Actually, I don’t know why, but it’s already Saturday morning as I’m writing this and it’s time to get up for the day (Kris doesn’t know that yet, so I guess I’ll just have to stick a finger in his ear or something).
And that’s this week done and dusted. I did nothing. My hamster complained about the heat, ate strawberries and got on the floor again. I don’t know about Kris. How was everyone else’s week?
